Monday....

Most of our lives are a series of images, they pass us by like towns on a highway. But sometimes a moment stuns us as it happens and we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment, every part of it, will live on forever.

Sunday...

Every once in a while people step up, they rise above themselves. Sometimes they surprise you, and sometimes they fall short. Life is funny sometimes, it can push pretty hard, but if you look close enough you find hope in the words of children, in the bars of a song and in the eyes of someone you love. And if you're lucky, and if you're the luckiest person on this entire planet, the person you love decides to love you back.

Thurs.Feb 7th, 2008

Off to the dentist this morning for Brandon. They are going to sedate him to work on him. I'm a little nervous but I like the place we are taking him, so it should be ok.
Depending on how he feels after his appointmant, I may take the kids shopping. They both are need of new clothes. Seems they have both had growth spurts....jeans and shirts are getting shorter. :)
Went to see a movie "The Bucket List" last night....my advice...rental at best. The previews had the best parts of the movie and that was it. Had some good moments, but long and drawn out before getting to the point of the movie and depressing. I thought it was going to be an uplifting movie about making the best of your last days. It had a few cute moments, but overall a letdown.
Taking Lexi and a friend out riding (horses) tonight if the weather behaves...it's supposed to rain on and off today.
Thats all for now......

If you knew could you try anything and not fail (and money was no object), what dream would you attempt?

More thoughts....(I love these)

Fondly. You see, Flaubert believed that anticipation was the purest form of pleasure... and the most reliable. And that while the things that actually happen to you would invariable disappoint, the things that never happened to you would never dim. Never fade. They would always be engraved in your heart with a sort of sweet sadness.

Oliver Wendell Holmes

Oliver Wendell Holmes once said: Many people die with their music still in them. Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out.

Happy Monday

Happy Monday....just an average day....4-H Horse class this morning, small group today so we got done early....lunch with Matt and the kids at a little local place for wings.....home for laundry stuff around the house. Then we went to the tack shop and got Lexi some different spurs....they worked much better than her first pair...the spur is on the side of her boot instead of the back of the foot. With her little legs and not alot of strength they seemed to help her. Ck did really well responding to them.
Going backwards to catch up....Sunday....house work and the horse....got some more fish from Joey...the kids and Sean loved them! Thanks!
Saturday we went to NBHA in Dade City. Fun to watch Amanda ride but freezing cold and drizzled on and off most of the day. I didn't take a single picture....I was too cold! Thats about it for now...need to find an interesting quote so I'll add one here shortly......

Sunday.....thoughts......

You ever look a picture of yourself, and see a stranger in the background?. It makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you. How many moments of other peoples life have we been in. Were we a part of someone's life when their dream came true or were we there when their dream died. Did we keep trying to get in? As if we were somehow destined to be there or did the shot take us by surprise. Just think, you could be a big part of someone elses life, and not even know it.

Just a thought....

Henry David Thoreau once wrote, "Live each season as it passes. Breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, but resign yourself to the influences of each."

Tuesday Jan 15th

Busy day....bible study this morning, horse, carwash, lunch at home (Checkers)....Lexi got a haircut and then we had to get more horse feed and took it out to CK. Lexi ended up wanting to ride again and stayed for almost 3 hrs. She realyl did well... better than the morning visit. Owners daughter and her friend came out to ride and I think that helped her want to stay longer. It's always more fun with others than alone. kaylie is suppose to work with her Thursday or Friday.

Tonight is American Idol.....last year is the first time we watched more than the first few episodes with the auditions and we got hooked. Although I still think the auditions are the best....it's amazing the freaks that are on there for their 15 minutes of fame...and the others that have no hearing and really think they can sing when they're not even close! Bless their hearts!

Monday night...just some pics...

Just some cute pics I took today of Brandon. One with mini donkey and one with "Jammer" 2 yr old horse. Lexi, Brandon and I all rode horses today and had real nice time. It got a little chilly towards the end of our stay....but a welcomed cold since we've had some much warm weather lately. :)

Monday January14th

Busy night on Sunday....we were out to dinner when Lexi complained of sharp stomach pains. She had been having mild stomach pains and a fever on and off over the last few days, but she responded great to Tylenol and would be fine for 6-8 hrs and then it would return. When the pains got worse Sunday night at dinner I decided to take her to the ER. She had a low grade fever that got higher the longer we were there and they sent her for blood work and chest and stomach x-rays. After an hour of waiting for those results they came in and did a strep test.....45 mins later everything came back clear. No strep, no appendix problems....not really sure what it was. They sent us home at 11:30pm (we got there at 7:30pm) and said to just see how she is in the morning. So far so good. She ate a little food last night before going to bed and she slept all night....in fact she's still sleeping:) To those of you that I called...thanks for the prayers! We're obviously glad it wasn't anything serious.
As for the rest of the weekend...pretty mild. We worked with CK, did laundry....not much else.

January 10, 2007

Another day in in Walton world.....not much is new.....

School work done, went out to the horse...but cut our visit short so we can go back later. Found out some friends will be riding and it's good experience for her to ride with other kids her age so we'll just go back then.

Nothing much to write about...my minds in another world....be back soon.

January 9th 2007

Hey...I can't seem to sign into Yahoo and I'm getting frustrated. I couldn't get in last night either...uuggg! I need to check my e-mail!

Well, more school work for Lexi today, then out to see the horse and hope to be home this evening. (or maybe even go to church)

CK stepped on Lexi's foot yesterday...the longer he stood there the more she realized he wasn't moving! I had to run in through the gate and push him off her. By then of course she was in tears. Nothing broken though, thank God. Needless to say we came home and ordered her a new pair of boots that would protect her feet better. Plus she needed slip on boots anyway. (pic is of boots we ordered)
4-H is having their horse show this weekend. Not sure if we are going though. Lexi isn't old enough to participate in the show, but old enough to be in the classes...doesn't make sense. Anyway we'll either go and watch or just go practice on her horse.
Anyway...thats all for now......

New Years catch up

Wow! I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted. We have now had our horse for 2 months! We have learned soooo much in the past 8 weeks and people have been so nice and helpful. We have also made a lot of new friends. Lexi has been working our friend Kaylie learning to ride and she went to a show in Pasco just 2 weeks after getting the horse. She got two 2nd place ribbons and 1 first place ribbon! We were so proud of her!

Just this past Saturday we went to a local rodeo where she got 2nd place in "keyhole". She also participated in barrels and poles, but still needs some work. The experience in its self was worth it and she did great, barely even nervous.

Amanda (daughter to the owners where we keep CK) got a mini donkey from her boyfriend for Christmas! He's so cute...added pic here with the kids. She also got a new horse shown running barrels in another pic. Other pics are Lexi and Kaylie the girl thats working with Lexi and one of Lexi makng CK smile and show his teeth...and of course my new truck:):)

What else is new?..... We now have 1 of the 24 baby balloon mollies left....not sure why they died off but the momma died too about 2 weeks after the babies were born. The baby was reciently named Nemo since he's the last and only one to survive.
Kids and hubby are good. Homeschooling back on track after the holidays, not to Lexi's likeing but got it done none the less. Brandon is addicted to Star Wars Legos on the xBox....he got to a point where he didn't want to leave the house and with us having to go work with the horse each day, that was a problem. We decided to buy the game for the Nintento DS and now he takes it everywhere with him.
I got Fatbaby boots for Christmas and Matt got me a new truck! Black Toyota Tundra! I also asked for a sewing maching, a horse and a horse trailer...I got them all! A Singer sewing maching, and "porcelain" horse and a "die cast " horse trailer. Not quite right but it was a hefty list so I understand the humor. :)
Dogs are here...
Sean's still here...Mat's cousin. He decided to stay another year and put his $$ towards a new car he desperatly needed. He's a good guest and has become part of our family.
Now for the pics....enjoy ......I'll try to post again soon......
